47 Year Old Quadriplegic Seeks Government Grant Money For Debt Relief

by Mark Baxter
(Angie, Louisiana, USA)

I am a 47-year-old C-6 quadriplegic single man who lives alone in a house in the small town of Angie, Louisiana.

Due to my medical condition I depend on caregivers to provide my care on a day-to-day basis.

At the young age of fourteen I had a diving accident that left me paralyzed and changed my life forever.

The accident caused a spinal cord injury and I have been in powered motored wheelchair for 33 years.

About three months ago I was admitted to a long-term medical hospital for a decubitus ulcer and was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes.

About fifteen years ago, due to the spasms in my body, my spinal cord injury doctor implanted a baclofen infusion pump to control spasticity in my muscles.

The pump is refilled every six months and replaced every five years.

Each month I struggle to pay my bills that accumulate for my activities of daily living paycheck to paycheck.

I receive Social Security Disability Income as a main source of income. I am presently seeking employment as an Information Technology Specialist.

I need help with living expenses of medications, groceries, utilities, home maintenance, car and homeowners insurance, credit card debt, gas and other necessities.

I would like to have a business of a computer repair shop that would be a projected cost of $5,000.000 that would offer on-site repair of personal computers.
