39 Year Old Disabled Single Dad Seeks Government Business Grant

by Chris Niemeyer
(Seattle, Washington, USA)

Me and my son for his first Christmas

Me and my son for his first Christmas

I am a 39-year-old single dad. My ex was three months pregnant when a car hit me and left me on the side of the road.

Luckily it was December and cold, which made me get hypothermia and slowed my blood flow down or I would have bled to death! Here are the links if you want to read the stories:

I now have Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and have lost 3-5 years of memory and have very so-so short-term memory!!! Being in the hospitality industry and a restaurant owner, my brain will not let me do what I love and enjoy!!

I am taking the good with the bad, I am a dad now and believe that my son is my life and he is why I fought so hard to survive and be his dad!

But I am missing something in my life and that is work and adult fellowship. My ex fiancée left me a year after the accident. I still struggle to understand why!

I am looking for help to get enough funds to open a coffee shop/deli for my neighborhood and see if I can get back to what I love to do… serving my fellow friends, neighbors and kids so they can be happy.

My goal is to one day be self-supporting again and be able to afford keeping food in the refrigerator, clothes on my son and me knowing I am gonna make it!

The reality is that house is in foreclosure and I have about two months before they foreclose. That is unless a miracle happens!

So if anyone out there has any good ideas or thoughts I would love to hear them, and if anyone can help a man that has fallen and is working on getting back up I would pay it forward!!!

Thanks for your time and have a wonderful and meaningful life! Chris Niemeyer, Restless in Seattle.
