31 Year Old Woman With Severe Asthma Seeks Government Grant For College

by Shannon
(Florida, USA)

I am a 31-year-old single disabled female. I am a severe asthmatic. I have to take inhalers and pills every day for my asthma. I have to carry an inhaler around with me wherever I go.

It is very hard for me to do things sometimes. I have a 5-year-old son also. I am looking to go back to school in January 2010 for Medical Administration/Management.

I am really looking forward to it, but I really can't afford it. I live off SSI and Child Support. It's very hard. I just want to go to school and finish and get a good paying job so I can take care of my family.

I have had asthma since I was five years old. I've been through a lot in my life. I've had two sinus surgeries also. I used to get three allergy shots every other week for a long time.

It would mean A LOT to me if I didn't have the burden of knowing I have to pay back loans to go to school. I am looking forward to furthering my education, but I need help.

I want to be able to support my son and myself in a much better way. Please help me!

Education Money Should Be Easy To Get
by: Anonymous

Dear 31 Year Old,

It is very easy to get a government grant for education since President Obama took office. My Daughter got one very easily to become an RN just recently. You can take some or all of your classes online from accredited colleges in case you are having a bad day physically. Just go to the President's web site or you can check with several colleges and they will help you with a grant that is not a student loan and does not have to be paid back. I hope all goes well.
