31 Year Old Disabled Ben Seeks Grant Money To Free Self From Bipolar Prison

by Ben Middleton
(Burlington, WI, USA)

My name is Ben. I am a 31-year-old bipolar disabled single male with no kids or military service.

I enjoy living this life one day at a time and am a positive person despite life's circumstances.

I have lived with bipolar disorder almost my whole entire life.

Diagnosed as bipolar at an early age, I was also abused for thirteen years as a child and went through a lot of life changing situations at a very young age.

One of my doctors said years ago that the abuse could have caused me to be bipolar.

As of right now, I am 31 years old and being bipolar has completely turned my life upside down.

I cannot live my life the way that I want to live it without my bipolar disorder trying to get in the way.

It prevents me from going to a job and being a normal person. I cannot handle the normal stress of life that comes with a job.

My disability has involved my mom and dad having to look after me and take care of me. Even my brother has had to share in these duties.

It used to be manageable but now it just numbs me to the point to where I cannot even get out of bed in the morning.

It has literally destroyed my life in many ways. But, I try to keep a smile and do the best I can with what I have been given.

It has caused me to default on my college loans and now creditors are making harassing phone calls.

It is truly never ending. I cannot keep a job because my bipolar disorder is so bad. I cannot concentrate or finish anything that I start.

I am on meds that do not really work. I am in the middle of talking to my psychiatrist about this.

I have a car but my parents have to drive me places due to panic attacks. I have also had panic attacks at work in the past, which is another reason why I cannot hold a job.

My brother and parents both have to look after me when I really in the dumps. It has affected their lives and work.
