27 Year Old Single Mother Seeks Government Grant To Move To Hotter Climate

I am a 27-year-old single mother of two. For the last 10 years, I've had to endure severe and chronic pain. I live in New England and the weather makes it so much worse.

I can't work because of the pain, and much of the time, can barely move. I'm writing now to ask for help getting a government disability grant to move to California.

When I went there to visit friends, I discovered that the hotter weather helps with my pain. I was able to walk without my cane and only needed about half my pain medication.

I am currently on Social Security Disability, and as such, have a very limited financial window to work with.

I want to be able to go outside and play with my two young sons, be able to go on walks with them, and for that matter, simply be able to move without agony!

I have had three surgeries on my right shoulder with no improvement, lumbar degenerative disk disease and a torn disk at L5/S1 in my spine.

To come up with the funds of $3000 for moving expenses and a buffer for when I get to California is simply not possible for me at this time.

I am having more and more difficulty coping with my chronic pain, while trying to take care of a 3 year old boy and 5 year old boy on my own.

We would be very grateful for any help to give my sons and myself a better life. Thank you for your time.
