24 Year Old Female With Tourettes Syndrome Seeks Grant For College
by Tiffany Pique
(Eugene, OR, USA)
My name is Tiffany. I'm 24 years old and I get SSI due to Tourette's syndrome.
I've had it since I was 5, got diagnosed at 14 and started getting SSI at 19. I don't really like the fact that I have to depend on the social security for money.
I would like to go to college to become an ESL teacher.
I think I want that job because I want to help kids learn and help them be able to stand up and give a speech in a class in English and not be afraid to do so.
That's my goal in life but to afford to do that I need to get a grant. So if anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated
Now I'll tell you a little about my family.
My father gets SSI also due to agoraphobia.
My mother works passing out medications at senior living homes.
My younger brother also gets SSI due to seizures.
My younger sister is also trying to go to college to become a trauma nurse to make a better future for her two sons and boyfriend.
Well that's my story. Thank you to everyone that reads this.
