20 Year Old Allison Seeks Government Grant Money For Independence

My name is Allison S. Wiggins. I am 20 years old and I'm looking for some government grant money to allow me to live independently.
I have been trying to get help from the government for my disability for 15 of those years with the help of my mother.
The school system that I was sent through stated that it would be better if they labeled me emotionally disabled so that the school could get funding.
They would put us in a room and give us coloring books to pass the day, until my mother demanded that my school day be filled with learning through an IEP.
Everything that I did was spoken. There was no writing or reading for me and I finished 12 years of school and walked the line with the other students.
I asked for equipment to help with my schoolwork, like the Coswell, and other equipment but no one would hear my mother or me and give me the help I needed.
So now I am grown and I still can't read or write. My mother is typing this story for me because of that.
I can't get a job because I can't fill out an application.
I went to Turner Job Corp. and received a culinary art certificate, and I still can't get a job because I can't read a recipe.
Of all the things that I want in life living independently is number one. I'm hoping someone can direct me to government grant money to help me do that.
