Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
It's like a tidal wave. I barely remember everything that's happened. I'm just going to tell you what went through my life.
I just turned 19 years old. I haven't graduated from high school yet. I am going to go next year to Shawnee Heights hopefully so I can get my diploma. I don't have to get a GED.
I've been on disability for around half my life. The people who put me on SSI take me off of it every month of SSI so it confused my dad and me.
We had to apply over and over again so I could be able to eat and sleep in a house. I could understand but when they let my dad be my payee, my dad did keep us healthy for some time.
I didn't know what he did with the money. I didn't care, but everyone told me that he was using it for his own purposes, which I didn't like.
Later they took me off SSI and my dad had to leave me up in Missouri with my aunt for two months before I finally got back to Topeka.
I was happy but I got stuck here homeless for five days, which was really not that much fun.
After that I went to a friend's house and I am staying with them until I could get on my own.
It's really hard. No one will hire me because I have no experience. I have never had a job of my own.
My friend has a baby, which it makes it hard for them to feed me. I can understand so I barely eat anything, but I'm used to it now.
The other thing is I have to travel far to apply for jobs hoping they will hire me and it's really hard for me to get to but it doesn't matter.
Also people want me to give them an address and my social security card number, which I don't have. Also, they won't give me some help when I live with people who already get help.
I'm always staying happy no matter what. I was told to go and try to get a grant. They said it'd take awhile to get but apply, which I'll try.
I'm just hoping I can get help in getting a place of my own to stay instead of staying at the rescue mission, which I don't like because of strangers.
I already applied for a janitor position at Stormont-Vail Health Center, which I'm hoping I will get for the first time without help of my family.
When people look at me though they usually think I'm under age and say that I look like I'm 14 to 17 years old, which I don't want them to think.
I'm young but it's really hard for me to survive in life. I'm just asking someone that will help me out so I can try and make a new life instead of not having one.
This is the first time I ask people for help in life so if you can't help, that's fine with me. I'll just try to make a way so I can get somewhere.
Anyways that's everything I can remember about it. Well, I've got to go. Bye bye! It's like a tidal wave to me!!!
