18 Year Old Woman And Pregnant Mother Seek Housing Grant Money

by Angelica
(Trenton, NJ, USA)

I'm 18 years old and pregnant. I live in a three-bedroom low-income house with a 15-year-old brother and a mother who also is pregnant and has a boyfriend.

We will soon not have enough room to support our family. We will not be able to work with two newborn babies.

We need money for a down payment to move into something bigger or for me to move into my own space.

Housing Help in New Jersey
by: Katina from Accessible.org

Congratulations on making the effort to submit your story to Accessible.org.

With the publication of your story, you are now well on your way to:

1. Getting your story known to a wide audience that could help you.

2. Getting your story polished up and presentable so you can submit it elsewhere, including the White House.

As a disabled person myself, I can sympathize with your situation and I definitely understand your need for help.

I've done a bit of research and found these resources for you:

HUD Housing Program New Jersey
http://portal.hud.gov/portal/page/portal/HUD/states/new_jersey

NRCSHHM
National Resource Center on
Supportive Housing and Home Modification
http://www.usc.edu/dept/gero/nrcshhm/directory/

Fall Prevention: Center of Excellence
Home Modification Program
http://www.homemods.org/

Please let us know if the resources have helped you in any way.
