100 Per Cent Disabled Vietnam Veteran Seeks Grant Money For Shelter

by Richard Lytton
(Sadieville, KY, USA)

I am a 100% disabled Vietnam veteran looking for government grant money to help other veterans.

I've had six-vessel bypass surgery, peripheral neuropathy in both feet and I suffer from Type 2 diabetes, all caused by Agent Orange.

Thank god for the DAV in them helping me get my claim filed with the VA.

I want to get a government grant to open a shelter house to provide shelter and food for other unfortunate vets that are homeless and have fallen on hard times.

I have been helping vets on a very limited basis not by giving out money but providing meals and clothing when I can.

I am unable to work due to my afflictions so I am trying to get a grant from someone to open up this shelter.

Please advise if there is any chance to obtain help. Thank you in advance for any assistance you can point me to.

Prayer for you...
by: Michelle

I can't offer any help with money, but I will be praying for you and for those you so desire to help. I am a firm believer that with God ANYTHING is possible. I pray that you have accepted Jesus in your heart. He's the BEST friend you can have.

VA has allocated funding for homeless vets
by: Anonymous

Homeless vets are a huge priority right now and money is available.

Check out military.com for more information on benefits and opportunities.

The usual course is to organize a non-profit or work through a faith-based organization.

Accountability is key and a structure is necessary.

Good luck!
